Poor Congressman Miller. After all this time in Congress he still doesn’t understand that hostile regulations and raising taxes in a recession kills job creation. Since the ideas of his party and president have already failed (twice), kicking and screaming, he’s says he wants to hear from his constituents on an Online Jobs eForum House Democrats have cooked up. PLEASE tell the Congressman and his equally clueless colleagues about your hardship in this government-made recession and how you’d get government out of the way to get Americans working again.
The Republican candidates running in the June primary for the chance to run against Democrat incumbent Jerry McNerney are chomping at the bit over McNerney’s YES vote on the heatlhcare bill
The Republican candidates running in the June primary for the chance to run against Democrat incumbent Jerry McNerney are chomping at the bit over McNerney’s YES vote on the heatlhcare bill passed only by Congressional Democrats. Ironically, the NO vote was the bipartisan approach to the landmark legislation.
According to the Conservative Support Group:
From Elizabeth Emken: Two Votes. That’s the margin that put the government in charge of our health care when the House Democrats passed their Bill last night. And Jerry McNerney was a decisive vote. McNerney’s arrogance, choosing political power over the people, is what inspires me to fight to unseat him this Fall. McNerney had a simple choice: vote for his constituents or walk in lock-step with Nancy Pelosi. Sadly, he chose the latter.
From Brad Goehring: Massive tax hikes, $1.2 trillion in new spending, and a health care system run by the IRS is not what the 11th District wanted or asked for. The Bill is unconstitutional and definite proof that radicals like McNerney and Pelosi have taken over the Democrat party. McNerney continues to pay dividends for radical left wing groups like MoveOn, ACORN, and the California Democratic Party, by voting one again to support the government takeover of healthcare that punishes working families and those with health insurance with higher taxes, more unemployment, and makes them pay for more government handouts.
From David Harmer: Last night, after previously pledging to vote against the Senate Health Care Bill, incumbent Congressman Jerry McNerney voted FOR it. This repugnant bill, packed with new taxes, fees, panels, programs, bureaucracies, rules and mandates, passed by a margin of just a few votes. McNerney’s was one of them. Why? Congressman McNerney betrayed his constituents. Most voters don’t just oppose the massive government-controlled health care plan; they’re outraged by it. McNerney’s flip-flop will be the defining moment of his time in Congress.
Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Calif., said Monday he’d give $10,000 he received from Rangel to charity. The problem is FEC.Gov records show McNerney received over $21,000 from Rangel since 2002.
Democratic Congress critters are running away from the crooked House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel of New York as fast as they can. Rangel is under investigation for multiple allegations of ethical improprieties, including failure to pay income taxes, misuse of official property in fundraising, and getting tax advantages for favored donors.
According to the to the Washington Times, Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn and Rep. Bill Foster, D-Ill, for instance, promised to either send money they received from Rangel to charity. Dozens of others are hiding the loot.
According to the Times, Monday, Rep. Jerry (No Show) McNerney, D-Calif., told The Examiner that he is giving $10,000 he received from Rangel to charity.
Problem is FEC.Gov records show McNerney received over $21,000 from Rangel since 2002! SO what’s the deal with that? What a worm.

Didn’t Nancy Pelosi say hers would be the most honest Congress ever. Well apparently McNerney must agree ’cause at least he’s staying bought by Rangel money.

The propaganda that President Obama and the Democrats are going to steal Seniors’ government-run health care (Medicare) has awakened Grandmas across the nation, driving them back in droves to the GOP (Grandma/pa’s Old Party).
All you Republican candidates put your Greacian formula away and head down to the hairdresser and add some silver to your hair or buy another bad wig with some gray.
Cause the old folks are coming. Scared out of their minds by the GOP who effectively framed the health care issue and the Obama presidency with cries of “death panels.” The propaganda that President Obama and the Democrats are going to steal Seniors’ government-run health care (Medicare) has awakened Grandmas across the nation, driving them back in droves to the GOP (Grandma/pa’s Old Party). As we have seen over and over again this type of short term demagoguery has short term benefits for the party out of power.
It will be interesting to see if, coming back from the Labor Day break, President Obama can reform the health care debate and turn the Senior Stampede back to the Democratic corral. The stakes are huge.
It is a known fact that in the off-congressional year elections seniors vote in a higher propensity than younger voters. And as Democrats are not precieved as governing from the center it could cause them to lose some of their majority in Congress. As Republicans learned during their era of one-party rule during the Bush administration, the American people like divided government, as it checks the extremist impulses of both parties.
Still, I don’t believe that David Harmer has a snowball’s chance in hell in the CD-10 special election . But! And a BIG but; Democrat Rep. Jerry McNerney in CD-11 better get ready for a credible challenger. A Republican with gravitas and dollars can easily mount a credible campaign to make the 2010 CD-11 race a barn burner.
The Mark Desaulnier campaign, in typical fashion, launched its scorched-earth nuclear option mailer against fellow Democratic and contender in the CD-10 Special Election to be held September 1.
As expected, the Mark Desaulnier campaign for Congress, in typical fashion, launched its scorched-earth, nuclear option mailer against fellow Democrat and contender in the CD-10 Special Election to be held September 1. The mailer asks how Lt. Governor “John Garamendi can stand up for CD-10 when he won’t stand to represent his own district,” which the DeSaulnier campaign contends is CD-03 (Walnut Grove, CA).
