Education funding and California budget, Mar 20

The DV League is presenting a follow-up event to its 2009 events on education funding issues and the ongoing budget crisis.

The Diablo League of Women Voters will host a panel on Education funding and the California budget on Saturday March 20, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the Pittsburgh High School Theater, located at 250 School St, Pittsburg, PA 94565.

The DV League is presenting a follow-up event to its 2009 events on education funding issues and the ongoing budget crisis. Speakers will discuss current budget and funding issues, and how community members can hold the state legislators accountable for the current crisis in Education.

Speakers include two LWVDV members:

~ Barbara Wilson, Superintendent of the Pittsburg School District
~ Nancy Vandell, Education Advocate, Legislation Team, California State PTA

Anita Johnson, LWVDV’s Voter and teacher will be the moderator.
