Mike Rose Autobody will hold a seminar for Insurance Agents at its Concord location to demonstrate the benefits of paintless dent removal (PDR) to help cut costs of small claims.

No cost to the trade, this program is worth 2 credits toward Continuing Education (CE) and training credits for qualified Insurance Agents that will be reported to the Department of Insurance within 24 hrs. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. Lunch is included. There will also be a demo on windhield chip repair by Dan’s Glass of Concord.

Youth Summit, Apr 25

The annual Contra Costa County Youth Summit sponsored by Supervisor Federal D. Glover will be held 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 25 at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg.

The annual Contra Costa County Youth Summit sponsored by Supervisor Federal D. Glover will be held 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 25 at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg.

This is the 6th year the supervisor has sponsored this free countywide event. This year’s summit will be hosted by the City of Pittsburg.

Last year’s summit attracted around 400 young people to Oakley’s Freedom High School to take part in the workshops and entertainment aimed at youth from middle school to high school. Youth groups from churches, the Boys & Girls Club, high school clubs sent busloads of teenagers to the event.

This year’s seminars will cover a wide range of topics including avoiding relationship violence, drugs and alcohol, positive attitude and leadership as well as a photo class, career advice, summer job opportunities, college financial advice, dance and martial arts. Prospecting Basics is an introduction to the process of identifying new donors for your organization. Seminar to examine how non-profits can reduce overhead, Apr 17

The CBO Center will present “Reducing Overhead: The Do’s & Don’ts of Sharing Space and Administration,” offered in partnership with The Nonprofit Centers Network. The seminar will examine the benefits and pitfalls of sharing offices and administrative functions next Thursday, April 17th.

Shelly Hamilton and Roxanne Hanson, experts in the development and management of multi-tenant nonprofit centers, will talk about their experiences and discuss your options for cost-savings through shared space and services.
